I am Hollie.

At 27 I decided I was thoroughly dissatisfied with my life and how my 20’s were just passing me at an ever increasing speed.

I decided there just had to be more to life.  So I set about saving up, and selling up, everything I could for 18 months to get enough money to quit my job and get a one way ticket to Rio de Janeiro with a plan to get up to Mexico.

I left the UK in June 2018  looking to learn about the world and about myself. Excited and scared in equal measure.

Well March 2020, we know what happened to the world and I ended up in Hong Kong ‘just for a few months’. I got a working holiday visa, then a full work visa, and have called this amazing city my home for 4 years now.

Looking to share my travel experiences, hopefully make useful guides and help solo female travellers over 30 see that it is not such a big scary world after all.
